Lean Thinking Approach for Sustainable Improvement of Outpatient Pharmaceutical Service Processes at Sawerigading Hospital

Patients who have had an examination at the polyclinic will get medicine pharmacy, especially outpatients. The pharmacy installation is last unit that determines quality of hospital services, so services affect other related units. This study aims to identify value and waste using Lean Thinking approach in pharmaceutical during waiting times, time lag patients receive when submitting a prescription receiving drug has been prescribed. It four indicators: for finished service ≤ 30 minutes concoction drugs 60 minutes, no administration errors 100%, customer satisfaction ≥ 80%, writing according formulary 100%. research used qualitative observational action process method lean thinking photograph flow outpatient conducted from mid-November December 2022 RSUD Sawerigading City Palopo. Fifteen people became samples joined structured in-depth interviews. Data were analyzed Excel with thinking. results categorized as proposed improvements management support section. could create effective efficient governance improve quality.
